"To get these brains there are some rules I must bend,
but if I do will you be my bestest friend?" This is an illustration from a dark nursery rhyme/story I was writing. The little boy is Josh and the woman with the tentacles is Cez. I can't seem to draw a full body pic showing the feet. Does anyone have tips for that? There'll be more on them soon! _______________________________ All characters © ~Aquarius21294 |

You have to make an outline of the full body. Outlines are the blueprint of the drawing, they help you plan your composition before adding details. The outline must be light enough to be erasable with a pencil. If the subject becomes too big or small for the piece of paper, adjust the scale accordingly.
In the case of this picture, you need to start with a outline of the figure slightly smaller than what you did while maintaining the proper proportions.
